I have a few minutes before things really get started at Otakon Press Relations, a.k.a. Press Ops. So before I forget it, a few notes on the weekend so far.

Now that I'm done with the new issue of Wild Violet, I can begin to get caught up on things I wanted to share in my blog. At long last, here are photos from Friday of Otakon 2011.

On our final day at Otakon, Sunday a week ago, my staff and I spent part of it shutting down Press Ops until next year. We also had a handful of press conferences and interviews to run, of course.

As I mentioned in my entry on Monday, Labor Day was a busy social weekend for us, seeing friends each of the three days.

On Friday, July 4, The White Rabbit hosted a barbecue at his place. The festivities continued Saturday, because some people don't get time off for federal holidays.

Since this was Memorial Day weekend, The White Rabbit hosted a barbecue at his place. He actually had guests on both Sunday and Monday, knowing some had to work Monday and wouldn't have made it otherwise.

Saturday was the big budget meeting for Otakon, and it was held in Philadelphia for a change, nice and close to us. We still dropped our doggie, Una, at the pet sitter for the day, where she would participate in a vertible puppy party, as the pet sitter would have seven dogs with her that day!
